Promotional Terms and Conditions

IMPORTANT: Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before participating in this promotion. By entering a Promo Code during the Sell to Carma process, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Promoter

The promoter of this offer (Promotion) is Carma Auto Pty Ltd ABN 34 648 842 362 (Carma, we, our, us), Suite 5.03, 219 Cleveland St, Strawberry Hills NSW 2012.

2. Promotion Overview

Carma is offering eligible participants a AU$50 Prezzee digital gift card (Reward) as an incentive to sell their vehicle to Carma through the Sell to Carma process.

This Promotion is a transactional incentive offer and is not a trade promotion lottery or competition.

No purchase is required to obtain a Promo Code, however the Reward is only payable upon completion of a Successful Sale as defined in clause 8.

3. Promotion Period

The Promotion commences on 12/05/2026 (Start Date) and concludes on 13/11/2026, being 6 months from the Start Date] at 11

AEST (End Date) (Promotion Period), unless extended or terminated earlier in accordance with clause 13.

Promo Codes must be entered during the Promotion Period. Claims relating to Successful Sales completed after the End Date will not be accepted, except where Carma expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

4. Geographic Eligibility

This Promotion is strictly limited to recipients of the Carma Newcastle direct mail flyer (Flyer) distributed during the Promotion Period. Eligibility is tied solely to possession and valid use of a unique Promo Code distributed via the Flyer.

The Promotion is not available to the general public and is not open to any person who has not received a Flyer containing a valid Promo Code through the direct mail distribution program.

▶ Note: The Flyer is distributed as an unaddressed letterbox drop within specified Newcastle metropolitan areas. Carma does not warrant that the Flyer has been delivered to any particular address or household.

5. Eligibility

Carma reserves the right to verify eligibility at any time prior to or following issuance of a Reward, and to disqualify any participant who does not meet the eligibility criteria.

6. Limit on Rewards

Each eligible participant may receive a maximum of one (1) Reward under this Promotion, regardless of the number of vehicles sold or Promo Codes held.

One Reward per person applies. Multiple claims from the same individual, household, or using different Promo Codes will not be honoured.

7. Promo Codes

Each Flyer contains a unique, single-use Promo Code. The following conditions apply to all Promo Codes:

8. Successful Sale

For the purposes of this Promotion, a Successful Sale occurs when all of the following conditions have been satisfied:

  1. the participant has submitted their vehicle for sale through the Sell to Carma process with a valid Promo Code applied;
  2. Carma has accepted the vehicle and issued a formal sale offer to the participant;
  3. the participant has accepted Carma's offer and executed all required sale documentation;
  4. the vehicle has been handed over to Carma in accordance with the agreed settlement terms; and
  5. Carma has transferred the agreed sale proceeds to the participant's nominated account and settlement is complete.

A sale will not be deemed Successful where it is cancelled, reversed, disputed, or otherwise falls over for any reason prior to the satisfaction of all conditions in this clause 8.

Carma retains discretion to determine, acting reasonably, whether a Successful Sale has occurred in any particular case, including where a transaction does not proceed to completion after initial acceptance.

9. The Reward

The Reward is a AU$50 Prezzee digital gift card (Reward), delivered electronically to the email address provided by the participant during the Sell to Carma process.

10. Reward Fulfilment

Following a Successful Sale, Carma will conduct a weekly validation process to confirm eligibility and verify that the Promo Code and sale details meet the requirements of these Terms and Conditions.

Subject to successful validation, the Reward will be issued within thirty (30) calendar days of the date on which the Successful Sale is confirmed as complete.

The Reward will be delivered by email to the address provided by the participant during the Sell to Carma process. Participants are responsible for ensuring that a current and accurate email address is provided.

Carma accepts no liability for Rewards not received due to incorrect contact details provided by the participant, email delivery failures, or Rewards directed to a spam or junk folder.

If a participant does not receive their Reward within 30 calendar days of their Successful Sale, they should contact Carma at hello@carma.com.au within 14 days of that deadline.

11. Third Party Fulfilment (Prezzee)

To facilitate delivery of the Reward, Carma will share the participant's name and email address with Prezzee Pty Ltd (ABN 16 602 963 422) (Prezzee) for the sole purpose of issuing the digital gift card.

By participating in this Promotion, participants consent to the limited disclosure of their personal information to Prezzee for this purpose. Prezzee's handling of personal information is governed by Prezzee's privacy policy, available at www.prezzee.com.au.

Carma will not use or disclose participant personal information for any purpose beyond what is described in these Terms and Conditions and Carma's Privacy Policy, except as required by law.

12. Privacy and Personal Information

This Promotion is administered in connection with an unaddressed letterbox distribution. Carma does not collect personal information from participants solely as a result of receiving a Flyer.

Personal information collected from participants in connection with this Promotion (including name, email address, and vehicle details) is collected as part of the standard Sell to Carma process and is handled in accordance with Carma's Privacy Policy, available at www.carma.com.au/privacy-policy.

Carma collects and uses personal information for the purposes of:

Personal information collected in connection with this Promotion will not be used for marketing purposes beyond existing Carma customer communications, unless the participant has separately provided consent.

▶ This Promotion involves an unaddressed letterbox distribution only and is not based on any customer relationship management (CRM) database. The Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) obligations apply to Carma's handling of any personal information received through the Sell to Carma process.

13. Variation, Suspension, and Termination

Carma reserves the right, in its absolute discretion and at any time, to:

Where Carma exercises any of the above rights, Carma will use reasonable endeavours to notify affected participants by publishing an update on https://carma.com.au/newcastle-promo-terms-and-conditions or by other appropriate means. Carma will not be liable to any participant for any loss or damage resulting from such variation, suspension, or termination.

Any changes to these Terms and Conditions will take effect from the date of publication and will apply to all participation occurring after that date.

14. Disqualification and Fraud

Carma reserves the right to disqualify any participant and withhold or recover any Reward where:

15. Tax

The receipt or use of the Reward may have tax implications depending on your individual circumstances, including whether you are participating in this Promotion as a private individual or in the course of a business or commercial activity.

These Terms and Conditions do not constitute financial, tax, or legal advice. Carma makes no representation regarding the tax treatment of the Reward for any particular participant.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carma and its related bodies corporate, officers, employees, agents, and contractors:

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition, implied or imposed by any legislation, including the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

17. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Participants irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales in connection with any dispute arising under or in relation to these Terms and Conditions.

18. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to limit, exclude, or modify the application of the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other applicable consumer protection legislation.
