    Call us at 02 8319 3210 and our finance consultants will ask you a few questions to provide personalised quotes for your selected car. We’ll reserve your car with a $500 refundable deposit.

  2. Complete your application

    Our expert finance consultants will guide you through your application. Typically, our finance partners will have a decision for you within the same or next business day.

  3. Sign the digital paperwork

    Once your application is approved, the lender will send your paperwork to you online, ready to sign from the comfort of your own home. Our finance consultants are available to offer assistance if you need help.

  4. Ready for delivery or collection

    Once your signed paperwork and any additional documents are verified, your lender will release the funds to us and we’ll get your new Carma car ready for delivery or collection.

Will getting a personalised quote affect my credit score?

No, it won't. To get a personalised car finance quote, our lending partners performs a 'soft-touch' credit check against your credit file that does not affect your score. The personalised quotes are then provided based on your individual circumstances and proposed loan details (deposit amount, loan term, age of the vehicle, etc).

Will applying for finance or getting pre-approved affect my credit score?

Yes, submitting a finance or pre-approval application allows financiers to notify credit reporting bodies that you’ve applied for credit with them, along with other details like the proposed loan amount. This record of how many times you’ve applied for credit is then recorded on your credit file and taken into account when determining your credit score.

What is a personalised rate and repayment?

During the quote process, our finance partners will provide you with personalised rates that are based on your individual circumstances and the proposed loan details (deposit amount, loan term, age of the vehicle, etc). This process doesn’t affect your credit score until you apply for finance.

The personalised rate is then used to calculate your personalised repayment on your chosen vehicle. These are estimates only based on your inputs, final rates and repayments are subject to financier assessment and approval.

Can I include a deposit to lower the financed portion?

Yes. You are free to include a deposit of your liking. Adding a deposit could potentially reduce your interest rate, improve your chances of approval, and reduce your repayment amount.

What information and documentation is needed to apply for finance?

Typically, you will be asked for the following (don't worry, it shouldn't take you longer than about 20 minutes):

  • Personal information – e.g. your date of birth and address.
  • A copy of your driver's licence.
  • Employment information.
  • Income & expenses information – typically you may be asked to provide some documentation relevant to your income (i.e. payslips).
  • Assets & liabilities information.
  • Bank account details.
  • Two personal references.

Documentation is subject to financier assessment and approval.

If I get approved for finance, can I change my mind?

Yes. Approvals are non-binding and as such you are free to change your mind as you see fit. Please contact one of our friendly Finance Consultants on 02 8319 3210 to discuss.

What fees do I need to pay?

Typical financing fees include an establishment fee and personal property securities register (PPSR) fee payable to the financier, and an introducers fee payable to Carma.

Can I pay out my finance early?

Yes, all of our finance partners will allow you to pay out your finance contract early. Fees and charges may apply.

Can I choose my own financier?

Yes. You are more than welcome to arrange finance through an external party. We can assist you in providing them with any information or documentation they require. Should you wish to compare their finance offer with one of our carefully selected financiers, please don't hesitate to give one of our specialist Finance Consultants a call on 02 8319 3210.

Will my $500 reservation deposit be refunded to me if I don't get approved?

Absolutely. Should you not be approved for finance and you are unable to pay for the vehicle by other means and you wish to cancel the transaction, then your reservation deposit will be refunded in full.

What happens to my finance if I return the car?

If you wish to return your vehicle and select another, under some circumstances your finance may be able to be transferred onto the new car. Otherwise, we will work with you and our existing finance partners to cancel the finance on the vehicle. 

If you have used one of Carma’s finance partners, Carma will cover the cost of any fees and charges to transfer or cancel the finance. If you have used your own financier, then we suggest you discuss the cancellation with them directly. Note that fees and charges may apply from your own financier.
