What kind of used car should I buy?
A good place to start narrowing down your options is to think about how you’ll be using your car. That includes where you’ll be going, how much space you’ll need, and what type of terrain you’ll be spending the most time on.
Small cars like hatchbacks and sedans are both fantastic choices for first cars. They’re easier to drive, and don’t cost a lot to run. Petrol cars meanwhile, are cheaper to buy and repair, and produce higher rev power to take off quicker. This means they’re more suited for driving through city streets in relatively shorter trips. Also jumping into the mainstream are hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and electric cars. They’re a more fuel and environmentally-conscious choice, offering a balanced and smooth drive.
